Direct investments in Bulgaria from January till June 2014 amount to 490 million Euro or 1.2% of GDP. In June 2014 investments have increased with 91.3 million Euro while in June 2013 the increase amounted to 179.5 million Euro according to Bulgarian National Bank’s preliminary data.
For the first six months of 2014 foreign investments in real estate amount to 58.1 million Euro. The biggest foreign investor in Bulgaria for the first half of the year was The Netherlands whose investments total 207.4 million.
In terms of industry, the biggest investments for the first half of the year are found in Manufacture (203.3 million Euro) followed by Real estate operations, Rental activity and business services (198.1 million Euro) and Construction (44.3 million Euro).
