“Vision for Varna” is a contest that will gather people’s dreams about the vision of urban spaces, buildings and elements of the urban environment of the Bulgarian sea capital. Artists, painters and architects may participate in the contest as well as everyone having an opinion on the matter and willing to express their idea visually and verbally. The contest is being organized by Varna Municipality, the Architects Association, the Bulgarian Architects Chamber and Varna Design Forum.
The contestants should pick one or more of the aesthetically impaired places from the urban environment in the central part of the city. The projects should include a photo of the current state of the place as well as collage illustrating each contestant’s idea. The public will be able to vote for their favorite projects online and a jury will decide which projects should receive awards. Varna Municipality will provide the funds for the realization of the best projects.
