On Wednesday 25th February 2009, in a warm, short and straight-to-the-point presentation, Eurolink Investment Group hosted its conference – “Bulgaria, breaking through the clouds of recession”. Despite the fact that the investor psychology is currently hitting astonishing lows and continues its downward trend, our Group has managed once again to demonstrate that excellent investments may be hard to find but definitely exist. While unveiling our plans for the future development of Varna, our Group has proven that those who have followed a careful strategy are still going strong during these hard times. Other companies may seize to exist, but we expect to reach the end of the economic crisis unscathed.
During the cocktail that followed the presentations I had the chance to communicate with many of our guests. Some of them were existing investors, while others are in the process of joining us. They all shared the same view. Our Group is marketing a prime, first class product, and has managed to design a detailed and well-structured Master Plan. This is no coincidence. This is a product of the successful corporate strategy that our Group has followed. Eurolink Investment Group has made millions of euro worth of investments since the time it was incorporated and has reached this amazing stage, where its assets are now valued more than 250 million euro, while the Group does not owe a single penny.

Some concerns were raised regarding the lack of completed projects in our land. I can understand this concern but there is a very valid reason behind it. It took years to accumulate all 14 million square meters of prime land that we currently own, and before developing it, we wanted to ensure that we had full control over this area. Without control, we could not guarantee to our clients that our vision for the area would materialize. Now we can! Now we are ready to start the development and invite you to come on board to join us on this challenging project.
There were some other concerns that the present economic crisis may seriously affect our plans for development. A guest at the conference expressed his concern that due to the crisis, our plans for the development of new Varna may have to be cancelled! There is no way that this may happen. Varna is a vibrant city that will maintain its high growth rate. The city has tripled in size since 2001, and will continue growing. The land of Eurolink Investment Group will accommodate this growth. Our land has already been included in the residential zones of the new Master Plan for the expansion of Varna. Therefore, the development is imminent.
In the worst case scenario, the present crisis might slightly delay our projects. The only reason that this may happen does not depend directly on us. It has to do with the selection of our future partners. Even though we are ready and on schedule with our plans, we need to guarantee that our future partners are ready too. We cannot enter into partnerships with companies that do not have the same healthy economic fundamentals as we do. Otherwise, this will adversely affect us, too. We are not in the position to build new Varna by ourselves. Hence the wise selection of suitable partners is imperative. Therefore, we ask our clients to be patient and invest their trust in us. Moreover, we ask them to bring new members to our family, who will share our vision in the development of new Varna.
A crisis may bring distress to the majority but may also bring excellent opportunities to very few smart investors. So far, all of you, our clients, have made considerable financial gains by investing in us. Our job is to ensure that you are among these very few and smart investors, who have managed to achieve excellent returns on their investments, during a serious worldwide economic crisis.
