The mayor of Varna, Ivan Portnih, and Van Hieu Chien, chairman of the national committee of the city of Da Nang, Vietnam have recently signed a memorandum for cooperation. Opportunities for development in areas such as tourism, maritime industry, education, culture and IT technologies were discussed during the meeting.
The deputy mayor of Varna, Peicho Peichev and the chairman of the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Varna, Zhelio Dushev, gave presentations regarding opportunities for business in the sea capital of Bulgaria.
The city of Da Nang is in Top 6 of the best tourist destinations in Asia and in Top 10 of the cities with best environment on the continent. Mr. Van Hieu Chien stated that Vietnam has had an economic growth of 10% over the last year and areas such as high technologies, agriculture, aquaculture produce and tourism are marking a fast development.
